### Registration Timeline

**30-Day Deadline**
- Car must be registered within **30 days** of purchase
- Delay results in fines of 200-1,000 PLN
- Vehicle cannot be legally driven without registration

> Please note: After purchasing a car, you are required to pay the PCC-3 tax within 14 days.

**Registration Authority**
- Visit the local **Transport Office (Wydział Komunikacji i Transportu)** at:
  - District office (Starostwo Powiatowe) for smaller cities
  - City Hall (Urząd Miasta) for larger cities
  - District Office (in Warsaw)

**Online Registration**
- Some districts allow online registration through PWPW (Polish Security Printing Works) at esp.pwpw.pl
- Check your local district's Public Information Bulletin (BIP) for online options

**For Used Cars Purchased in Poland**
- Vehicle registration application form (completed in Polish)
- Proof of ownership (purchase/sale contract, VAT invoice, or court decision)

- Current registration plates (Tablice Rejestracyjne)

- European Certificate of Conformity or equivalent
- Dealer's VAT invoice

**For Imported Cars (from abroad)**
- All documents listed above, plus:
- Proof of import clearance or excise duty payment
- Certified translations of all non-Polish documents
- Vehicle history from country of origin

**For Foreigners**
- Passport and residence document (visa or residence card)
- Proof of temporary or permanent residence registration in Poland
- Certificate of residence (if EU citizen required in some districts)
- All documents certified as true copies by notary or authorized official
