### When to call 112/999
Call immediately for: chest pain, stroke symptoms (face droop, arm weakness, speech trouble), severe shortness of breath, heavy bleeding, major burns, loss of consciousness, severe injuries, seizures, anaphylaxis.

**Steps in an emergency:**
1. **Call 112** or 999 (ambulance). Describe what happened, where, and the patient’s state.
2. **Follow dispatcher instructions.** Start first aid if asked. Do not hang up first.
3. **Go to SOR** if safe to self‑transport and symptoms are severe (chest pain, stroke signs, severe injury, big burns, loss of consciousness, heavy bleeding).
4. **Bring documents** (ID, medication list). If unavailable, you still get help.

### After‑hours urgent care (NiŚOZ) and TPK
For urgent but non‑life‑threatening issues between 18:00–08:00 and on weekends/holidays, use Night and Holiday Care (Nocna i Świąteczna Opieka Zdrowotna) or call the First Contact Teleplatform (TPK) at 800 137 200. You may receive a phone consultation, e‑prescription, or be directed to a clinic.
